Gamakatsu C14S Egg Hooks; This is our most popular hook to use with beads and for good reason. They are super sharp with a short heavy shank and these hooks stick and hold while fighting trophy trout. C14S hooks are available in 25 packs & 100 packs. Choosing the right hook to trail behind your bead is important because you want the hook to be relative in size to the bead so that the bead will drift in a natural manner. Here is a quick reference to use when selecting hooks. Only size 8, 10, & 12 are used for trout. In heavy water a size 6 will do the trick on big fish. The size 2 & 4 are used for fishing beads for steelhead and salmon. 10mm beads; use a size 6 or 8 hook

6mm beads; use a size 10 hook The size 12 hook is a strong hook and can be pretty stealthy behind an 8mm or 10mm bead. Obviously you have to realize you have a smaller hook when fighting bigger fish and you have less room for error. There have been many 30 inch + rainbows landed on this little hook, and they never saw it coming.
